Outing to Melaka (November 2012)

This trip was on last Nov 2012, yehuu but I have time to post this en3 on today. It is not too late is it? The trip was family vacation and we stayed @ Emerald City Straits Apartment.

We went to Wild Life Theatre Melaka in the morning. This theatre presents stage show of sea lions, colorful soaring birds, various reptiles, and the unique tribes of tropical rainforest of Sarawak in a thrilling show. Ticket price is RM20 per adult and RM15 for senior citizen/children.

Before we went back, we did captured photo together with the theatre crews as our reminiscence over there.

We have a lunch @ Nasi Kandar after we couldn’t find Nasi Padang. Ahaa, as I was not interested towards Nasi Kandar, hence I choose Nasi Putih, Tandoori Fried Chicken, curry and WaterMelon juice. 

We drop by Masjid Fathur Rahman to pray and rest a while.

Masjid Fathur Rahman was built in the 1730's. Then, Mayor Headman Abdul Ghani renewed the mosque in year 1324 Hijrah (equivalent to 1917’s) by wakaf his own property. In 1978, the mosque was upgraded (added at the rear area) with the help of donations from the public. (Source : islamgrid)

In evening, we went to Melaka River Cruise + Melaka Monorail + 6D Motion Ride. While waiting my bro bought the tickets, we had a look at some souvenirs sold over there such as shadow puppets, trishaw, terompah (wooden sandal), bamboo tube, keris and many more.

We ride on Melaka Monorail from Hang Jebat Station to Hang Tuah Station within 20 minutes ride. We saw a village house with the roof decorated with Malaysia’s flag and we were informed the village houses was a Morten Village which was one of the earlier residency built over there and was enhanced by time to time.

It was our first time to try the 6D ride and was thrilled and it looks real. I really felt that I was inside the film and felt I was really soar high and dive down. I still remember the water splash on my face and hand. We were on cruise @ night and my cam was out of battery.

Before that, we had our tea time @ eatery nearby and I munched cucur udang. Our nite life was @ Dataran Pahlawan and we bought some souvenirs and tried Asam Pedas sold @ nearby cafe. Then we went back to our apartment. For next visit, I would like to ride on Taming Sari revolving tower.
